I am a C

I am a C

One of the songs I learned when I was younger was, “I am a C.” It is a fun Christian song to sing and the challenge of singing it correctly, while going as fast as you can is always a challenge. I have taught this song to my children, and I hope one day my children will teach it to their children.

If you are unfamiliar with the song, or simply want to hear it again sung by children listen in on this YouTube Video, which includes the words of, “I am a C.” The song will spell out C-h-r-i-s-t-i-a-n.

SO WHY AM I TALKING ABOUT, “I am a C“:

Recently, I have been learning about the concept of Polarity from Russell Brunson. Russell is simply an internet genius, in my humble opinion. He challenged me to think once again about what is important to me and my life and “to take a stand.”

This brought me to the word he used called, POLARITY. The first thing that came to my mind was my beliefs as a Christian, then the corny kid song called, “I am a C,” I sung when I was younger.

Polarity is defined as “the state of having two opposite or contradictory tendencies, opinions, or aspects.”

The concept of Polarity started my thinking process about; why I believe what I believe. In a world, where materialism and the pursuit of earthly wealth seems to be an overwhelming motivation for many. It is a  constant chase of trying to obtain “a better life,” both financially and in relation to time freedom.

One thing I have learned over time is ‘time‘ waits for no one! It will continue to march on without our assistance. Life is a very precious commodity, and one that is extremely valuable. The gift and miracle of my two children, when I witnessed their birth(s), is a memory forever ingrained inside of me, for as long as God allows me to remember.

Why is being a “I am a C” important to me?

Basically, it has given my life direction and purpose. All of my abilities, I am and will ever be, were given to me by my Creator; the great I AM – God. I believe that Jesus Christ walked on this earth. I believe he taught in parables, like when he taught about the sheep and the goats, being separated at end times.

In addition, I believe he was crucified on the cross, and on the third day rose from the grave defeating the cruel sting of death. My wife and I share the same faith in our risen savior, Jesus Christ. As we approach once again the Christian Holiday of Good Friday, I wanted to take some time to simply pause and slow down.

One of my best friends, has in his email signature, a quote from the book of Psalms in the Bible. It is a very simple quote, but is also a very powerful quote. I would like to share it with you, as well, today:

Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

May God Bless You and Yours,
